thank goodness

I am happy that my ancestors came to america on a boat a long time ago, they surely would have been turned away with no hope of getting to this country to better their, and subsequently, my life.

It's hard to say if immigration is a bad thing. I don't know why the land of the free has to be a exclusive club all the time though. Even with its own people, the system puts away anybody for what? The fun of it?

Too Much Stuff

I really enjoy looking at all the little trinkets I have all over my space, but watching American Pickers on the History Channel is making think about getting rid of things. It seems like these old guys who own a barn full of stuff sometimes have a rough time getting rid of their junk. It is very entertaining to watch, however when you need to crawl over a box of stuff to get into bed at night, you better be careful. I think if you have a shelf, and everything fits on the shelf, then your fine, but look out for the Boxes that have no place to go, but on top of the last box. YIKES!

LOVE

On a lighter note

Be Careful

Just incase you are planning on trying to get a job with the federal government, students who read WikiLeaks may be at risk of being unemployable for there quest at knowledge.

I find this greatly disappointing. Hasn't this happened before? Okay, so "that's what the Nazi's did" thing is a little lame to do but, come on they were Nazi's!

On another note, I think I may know where you can go to learn more about becoming Republican.

My gay Lowes experience

My company, Deluxe Design, has been going through a lot of changes. We are cleaning, reorganizing, updating our production layout, remodeling the show room, etc. I have taken the lead on many of the project, mostly because I love to build things and do, other than the usual. I have the honor of straightening the very crowded poster archive. these meant a trip to Lowes to buy a bunch of lumber and some other things we need. After doing a bunch of heavy lifting at one end loading up some lumber, I left the cart to find the rest of the list at the other end of the store.

My friend Nick who bought a house a year ago has been doing a bunch of work lately on his house and I said we should check out the kitchen area. Making a couple remarks implying we were looking "together" I reached to open a wine cooler as Nick said, "we could use one of those for when we have guest."

To which I replied proud and loud, "You mean for the big gay orgies we host?" as we turned the corner and some macho men were standing. As I looked down and noticed the half dozen rubber gloves I was carrying, I burst into laughter and blushed all the way across the store.

Just a Thought

There has been a whole lot of talk about WikiLeaks recently. From Amazon dropping the site from their servers, to PayPal no longer allowing donations to help fund the site. The most recent incident to occur is the denial of payments to Wikileak with the use of a Mastercard.

I feel like the obvious display of large corporations going about the destruction of a bias-free press, with the interest of exposing what is happening that the afternoon gibberish on your local news station will not tell you, is a whole lot of horse shit.

If you want to keep an honest person honest, you don't leave a pile of cash in front of them right?

So shouldn't we make the government transparent so that they don't try to pull anything? The laws that get passed all the time because nobody is willing to talk about them is ludicrous. Things are so backwards on capitol hill and I don't understand how we can put up with the news talking about how a group of girl scouts raised money for a non profit and another person was shot in the ghetto. Yeah I get that. Be responsible members of the press. Refuse to show slander political ads. Talk about the truth. You know, do your job!

MMMM Turkey pumpkin weekend

Alright. The Holiday is over. But I'm still eating, and I'm still cooking. For the actual day I prepared a pumpkin pie made from scratch from a pumpkin out of my garden. After filling the pie I had some left over filling. With this I added flour and baking powder and got some delicious pumpkin biscuits, which toasted with butter, ROCKED! With the turkey left-overs I created some delicious dishes. The first was a green chile casserole. I made two casseroles, one was just green chile and turkey. The second was topped with bacon bits and slices of jalapeneos. I really recommend that one. All the recipes were found on the first page of results from google, sometimes adjusting measurements according to personal taste. Today I made a pizza from scratch with turkey toppings. I baked a pumpkin roll that turned out almost as good as I wanted. Even just trying talk about this in a blog is difficult without getting sleepy from the turkey, or maybe its the hour...

Good Nite!

:)

maybe you'll get a good piece of writing out of this lazy excuse of a blogger one day.

NASCAR Experience

I can now say, I honestly do not know how many times I have been to a NASCAR race. My Grandfather, Dad and I have been going for over 10 years now. I can say I havent gone every year. I can also say that some years I've gone twice in a year. So now that I can say, I have been too more than many to the race, does that make me a hick? Seems like a lot of people think so. Then there are the 50+ String Cheese Incident shows I've attended. I think I'm having a identity crisis. But there is nothing new with that. Happy Tuesday.

Learning things Can be tough...

I have been learning how to play the Ukulele. It is going very slowly. I find it easier to learn the things we have to do. For instance, i have learned how to cook a whole bunch of things. I guess it must be because i need to eat. Go Figure! I also learn a lot at work. Go figure... So, I conclude that in order to succeed at the Uke, i must learn to enjoy its music in a nutritional way, or make it my career. End.

Squashies tore it up

Last night at the Marble Brewery here in Albuquerque NM, the Squash Blossom Boys did a splendid job getting a crowd pumped to buy their newest CD, "Outside Lookin' In." Here is a little bit

Last week. This week.

Last week was a blast for lights and rock-n-roll. First I caught Umphreys McGee at the historic El Rey Theater here in Albuquerque. Rocking my Bears jersey after a victory over Green Bay I was givin an approving looking from the native Chicago boys on stage. If you haven't seen Umphreys yet, I highly recommend this HIGH energy group for anyone who wants to listen to far-out-fast technical jamming with beautiful singing thrown in for the good measure.

At the end of the week, I had the fortune to see Muse at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho. Not sure if I should give them $60 for a ticket, I was Quickly proven to have made a great investment. The stage design alone made the experience awesome. Thankfully, Muse was able to display their incredible ability to make this high-tech high-cost highly visual stage, their bitch! Thats right! Muse dominated the great display of modern engineering.

Now,
coming up...

On a small note. I'm missing the Spoon show tonight at the Sunshine Theater in Albuquerque because I'd rather see Blind Pilot tomorrow at Santa Fe Brewing Company in Santa Fe. Two reasons, the first being I'm too poor for both, the second is that Santa Fe Brewing Company is a MUCH BETTER venue. It's been years since I've been to the Sunshine. I will have to go a couple times before the end of the year for a couple reasons. Minus the Bear at the end of the month then of Montreal and Dr. Dog in November. I try to avoid the place. This weekend goodstuff!

PS
I joined a WAKA team so be prepared to hear about the Zozo-bros(as)

Busyness as Usual

Well, this summer I have been to four music festivals, handfuls of shows and just chaos as life deals it. I find it hard sometimes to even keep up with my own plans. Therefore, I am going to write this blog. Where I'll be and review what I've seen. Also, cool links and just opinion for my readers. I hope to keep at least one person up all night, like my blog is a drug.

Cheers,
Jeruth
